Application Integration

OHIA has developed applications that integrate seamlessly with our Epic CareConnect EHR.

Case Search Application

As part of the Beaker implementation this application is used by Pathologists, Cytopathologists, Lab Managers, Pathologist Assistants, and the Surgical Pathology Reporting Office among others.  The Case Search application enables advanced search of Beaker AP Cases to meet QA/QC requirements, College of American Pathology (CAP) inspections, and aids in clinical trial research.  Our Case Search application integrates in both directions.  A user can initiate our application within Hyperspace and have a seamless integrated experience.  Once the user has the search results they are looking for, they can select and launch multiple patient Chart activities directly from our application back into Hyperspace.

QLink

This application allows clinicians to see the diagnosis and HCC history for patients in order to reduce missed opportunities as part of pay for performance incentives from Medicare.  The goal is for the clinician to use these tools to provide the appropriate care for the patient.  This application is also seamlessly integrated into Hyperspace.  A user never has to log in and will only have access if their Hyperspace User Profile allows them.

WebService Integration

OHIA provides custom APIs to allow developers to seamlessly integrate with Epic Hyperspace to provide advanced functionality not available out-of-the-box. Currently we have developed the following API’s:

FHIR

Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) is an interoperability standard for electronic exchange of healthcare information. FHIR was developed by Health Level Seven International (HL7), a not-for-profit organization accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) dedicated to provide frameworks and standards for the exchange, integration, sharing and retrieval of electronic health information that supports clinical practice and management, delivery and evaluation of health services. These API's pull real time data from CareConnect in the form of FHIR resources which makes it available for any application to integrate.

RadPath

These API's pull data from CareConnect Beaker workflows and makes it available for the RadPath team to integrate into their own application.

Polyglot Meducation

Enabled integration of vendor application with care connect by developing custom web services.
