Informatics Programs

The Discipline of Informatics

National Library of Medicine defines health informatics as the interprofessional field that studies and pursues the effective uses of biomedical data, information, and knowledge for scientific inquiry, problem-solving, decision making, motivated by efforts to improve human health. In other words, it is the science of information where the information is defined as data with meaning. At UCLA Health Information Technology, we sponsor the following Informatics programs and Informatics Fellowship programs to create future informatics leaders.
