I am deeply appreciative and thrilled for the opportunity to continue to lead UCLA Health IT as the Chief Information Officer. I have enjoyed serving in the interim capacity for the past year. Alongside Bill Holloway as the Chief Academic Information Officer, we are excited and eager to continue advancing the DGIT roadmap and we are dedicated to supporting our teams as they bring you new technical capabilities, a refined support model, and enhance your overall experience.
In the last few years, DGIT has had no shortage of changes within our organization. While some changes included a few team members moving on to other endeavors, we’re encouraged by the abundance of positive change with the coming of new team members and promotion of existing colleagues. We are committed to improving the quality of support we are able to provide you and look forward to getting your input on how we are doing.
To drive this goal, we have recently onboarded Dennis Garcia to serve as our new Director of Client Experience. Dennis will focus on optimizing the support model DGIT provides to the Health Sciences schools, implementing processes to create a more proactive environment as well as improving communication and collaboration with our clients to form a better partnership.
In our efforts to improve our support, last year we announced the Client Services “Pod Support Model” in partnership with the Department of Medicine and we have been collecting quantitative and qualitative data in order to measure the success and impact of the model.
