Here is the latest edition of IT updates for an overview on what’s available and what’s to come.
UC’s Targeted in Cyber Attack
The UC community along with other agencies have been targeted in a national cybersecurity attack. These attacks involve breached data from Accellion, an application used by organizations for secure file transfer. In addition, some groups have reported receiving extortionary emails in attempt to scare people into giving money in exchange for the stolen personal data. If you receive a suspicious email, make sure to report the email through the Report Suspicious button within Outlook or forward the email to DangerousEmail@mednet.ucla.edu.
