Nina Zhu is a current Clinical Informatics fellow at UCLA. She is a graduate of CHLA pediatrics residency and attended medical school at VCU School of Medicine. Prior to medical school she worked at Epic, where she was first introduced to the concept of the EHR as a powerful tool to help minimize provider burnout and fatigue, and enhance patient care. Her past projects included working on express lanes to help streamline outpatient pediatric well child checks and optimizing order sets for patients admitted with common diagnoses. She has a strong interest in harnessing the power of informatics to help address health disparities and minimizing click fatigue while still ensuring that comprehensive care is provided to help improve patient outcomes.
