Area of Focus: Inpatient Informatics Training
Linda has been with UCLA Health since 2017. She started with UCLA on the campus in 1988 in various positions including Chief Administrative Officer of the UCLA Department of Mathematics. With UCLA Health, Linda has been the Inpatient Informatics Training Manager since July 2017. She has over 18 years’ experience in healthcare IT.
As Training Manager with the Informatics Training team, Linda oversees the day-to-day operations of the Inpatient Principal Trainer Team. The team consists of 9 Principal Trainers specializing in the following applications: Beacon; Willow; HIMS; Bedside; ADT Grand Central; ASAP; Stork; ClinDoc; Ancillaries; Hospital Billing; Radiant; Kaleidoscope; Orders; HODs; Bugsy; and OpTime/Anesthesia. Linda’s position affords her the opportunity to be engaged in many complex endeavors, including project management, workflow analysis, training strategy, and human resources. Linda is passionate about the use of technology in aiding clinical decisions and activities in the inpatient arena.
Linda holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from UCLA. In addition, she has an MBA in General Management from CSU Dominguez Hills. Finally, Linda has an Epic Certification in Procedure Orders.
