Christine Alanes is a seasoned nursing informatics professional at UCLA Health, joining in 2001 as a Registered Nurse and transitioning to her current role as the Director of Informatics Training since 2016. In her current capacity, Christine streamlines new hire training and ongoing engagement & training activities for 40+ applications. Her leadership extends to overseeing adoption programs such as the IT Rounding & Super User programs across the enterprise.
In her prior role as the Application Manager for Inpatient Orders, Christine acted as a catalyst for technological change, enhancing the patient, family, and clinician experience. From 2011 to 2014, she served as Principal Trainer for Inpatient Orders, developing a comprehensive training strategy for over 10,000 providers for UCLA’s initial Epic implementation in 2013.
With a Master of Science in Management & Leadership and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governor’s University, Christine brings a unique blend of clinical expertise and managerial proficiency to her role. Holding certifications in Informatics Nursing and Public Health Nursing, she actively contributes to professional associations, including the Association for Talent Development and the American Nursing Informatics Association.
