Dr. Escovedo is an EIS physician leader and attending physician in the Department of Pediatrics at Cedars-Sinai Health System. He completed his MD at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA in 2013 and completed his pediatrics residency, including a year as chief resident, at UCLA in 2017. After roles as an Epic super user and resident informaticist, he completed the clinical informatics fellowship and Master of Science in Bioinformatics at UCLA in 2019, and is board-certified in Pediatrics and Clinical Informatics.

His interests include workflow and quality improvement, clinical decision support and provider efficiency training. In particular, he believes strongly in the power of clinical informatics and the EHR to improve patient care and provider efficiency. He is an Epic-certified physician builder in both clinical documentation and data analytics and uses this knowledge base to help develop workable solutions for Cedars-Sinai medical staff.
