Sarrang began her nursing career as an LVN in 2014. She became a Registered Nurse in 2017, providing critical care at a Level I trauma center in Los Angeles County. She then worked as a travel ICU nurse across California, gaining experience across multiple academic and trauma centers.
In 2021, Sarrang joined UCLA Health as part of the ICU Nursing Float Team. She trained across Neuro/Trauma, MICU, CTICU, CCU, Surgical/Transplant, and Burn ICUs. She also cross-trained into Interventional Radiology, the STAT Nurse role at UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center providing critical care transport, and the Clinical Surveillance Team. She served as a nursing preceptor for the UCLA Michigan Operations Center, training new hires on UCLA policies and protocols. She was also an active member of the Nursing System Float Team's Unit Practice Council and the Research and Innovation Council. Alongside her bedside work, she gained experience in virtual critical care nursing and quality improvement, along with case management and AI validation work for other major healthcare organizations. Sarrang became an Epic Super User, supporting the Meditech-to-Epic cutover at UCLA West Valley. Through that go-live and her work with the UCLA Nursing AI Focus Group, her interest in nursing informatics took shape.
She completed her MSN in Nursing Informatics from Chamberlain University in 2026 and joined UCLA's Nursing Informatics team after leading a project that reached system-wide implementation. She is CCRN certified through AACN and is currently pursuing ANCC Board Certification in Nursing Informatics (NI-BC).
