Samantha started her nursing career in 2012, and has experience in the Medical-Surgical Unit, Step Down ICU and Operating Room. She joined UCLA in 2019 as a Clinical Nurse II at the Stein Eye Operating Room. She steadily advanced into leadership roles, including Charge Nurse and Administrative Nurse I, where she was able to focus on optimizing workflows through technology. Samantha has also served as the New Knowledge and Innovation (NKI) Collaborative Chair for UCLA RRH and completed the UCLA Nursing Informatics Fellowship in 2023. She joined the Nursing Informatics team full time in September 2024.
Samantha received her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from West Coast University and her master’s degree in Nursing Informatics from Western Governors University. She is also board certified in Perioperative Nursing (CNOR).
