Mike Shane is the Senior Director of Platform Services in DGIT. In this role, he provides strategic leadership and oversight for the Infrastructure, Networking, and Client Services teams.
Mike’s distinguished career at UCLA began in 1999 with Department of Surgery IT. Soon thereafter, he was recruited to be the IT Director for the DGSOM Dean’s Office, where he significantly expanded support more broadly across the enterprise. When DGIT formed in 2016, Mike was appointed as the Director of Infrastructure. In this role, he led high-performing technical teams that established DGIT’s datacenter and associated services using best-of-breed technologies. These efforts were critical in hosting, securing, and modernizing DGSOM systems. Throughout his tenure, Mike has been instrumental in advancing DGIT’s capabilities, driving automation and innovation.
