Area of Focus: Ambulatory Referrals, Tapestry Managed Care, Tapestry Link

Lisa Sergy began her training career at UCLA in 1996, working as a trainer and then training manager for Communications Technology Services. In 2002, she transferred to UCLA Health Ambulatory Operations to launch a new revenue cycle training program called BRITE, which offered IT training on scheduling-registration systems that included insurance payor training, and on soft-skills that focused on improving the patient experience. In 2012, Lisa joined the UCLA CareConnect team as the Tapestry Principal Trainer to support the big bang go live of Tapestry Managed Care and Tapestry Link in March 2013. In the following year, Ambulatory Referrals was added to her scope of work. Lisa took an interest in learning web-based authoring tools and partnered with her business owners to convert all of her instructor-led curriculum to eLearning. 

Lisa holds an associate of arts degree from Santa Monica College and attended the Pepperdine Graziadio Business School. She holds an Epic certification in Referrals and Authorizations; Tapestry CRM Admin; Tapestry Eligibility and Enrollment Admin; Tapestry Claims and Contracts Admin; Tapestry Accounts Payable Admin; Tapestry Curriculum; Patient Access Curriculum.
