Areas of Focus: Population Health and Care Coordination, Social Determinants of Health, Clinical Decision Support

Kim started her career at UCLA in 2007 as a bedside nurse and joined the IT team in 2011 to help design the electronic health record system. Leveraging her clinical knowledge and background from a prior career in management consulting, she partners with clinicians and leaders to find optimal uses of technology to augment clinical care. Before joining the Nurse Informaticist team in 2023, Kim has held various positions in IT, including complex clinical decision support build, quality program measurement and analysis, strategic planning and portfolio management in population health.

She has a Master’s of Science degree in Nursing from UCLA and a Bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley in Computer Science. Kim is also ANCC board-certified in Informatics Nursing and holds a certification for Project Management Professional (PMP).
