Office is now Microsoft 365
Microsoft is consolidating all of their applications under a new name and logo, Microsoft 365. This includes their well-known suite of productivity applications and the new Microsoft Teams. To ensure you are able to work with the latest software, we will be installing Microsoft 365 and new Microsoft Teams on all IT-managed devices throughout the coming months.
Microsoft 365 has minor changes throughout the suite, with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel being virtually unchanged. The biggest changes are in Outlook. Here is a list of changes in Outlook:
- Outlook features (Mail, Calendar, People, etc.) are moved to the left column.
- Add and Pin shortcuts of Microsoft applications to the left column by clicking on more apps .
- Search bar has been moved to the top.
- Use @mention in an email to get someone’s attention.
- Use reactions to quickly reply to an email

Notification pane allows you to track @mentions and reaction. Open it by clicking on the located on the top right.
