About
Katherine Wigan serves as DGIT’s Director of Academic Technology. She oversees the development, integration, implementation, and operations of technology widely used to support the education’s mission of the UCLA Health Science schools of Dentistry, Medicine, and Nursing.
Katherine joined UCLA in 2000 as a Programmer Analyst within the DGSOM Instructional Design Technology Unit (IDTU). Throughout her time at UCLA, she held several roles including Senior Developer, Assistant Director at IDTU before joining DGIT’s Educational Technology team as a Program Manager. Throughout her tenure with DGSOM, Katherine has played a key role in the development and advancement of educational technology innovations, including the development of our learning management systems and educational technology infrastructure.
