- Why do I need mobile device management?
Under HS Policy No. 9453-C, encryption is required for all types of workstations, mobile devices, and removable media used for any University business. Mobile device management software allows us to verify that all mobile devices joined to our internal network are encrypted and will also allow UCLA to secure the data upon separation.
- What information does the tool collect?
The tool collects the following information. It will be viewed only for problem resolution:
- Mednet username
- Mednet email address
- Mednet WiFi certificate
- Operating system
- Display model
- Intelligent Hub check-in status
- Enrollment status
- Jailbroken status
- Encryption status
- Current carrier
- Home carrier
- International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number
- Phone number
Intelligent Hub is not used to view:
- Personal emails
- Personal information on your device
- Location data
